There are many year 'round activities and events in the Tampa Bay area which makes it a very desirable place to live. Three large events which draw visitors from around the country and globe are the Clearwater Jazz Holiday, Gasparilla Parade, and St. Pete Grand Prix. A large theme park, Busch Gardens, is open year 'round and also attracts visitors from all over. The longest sidewalk in America is claimed to be along Bayshore Blvd, right on Tampa Bay in South Tampa. People enjoy it for jogging, walking, biking, and rollerblading. Joggers, walkers, bikers, and rollerbladers also enjoy the Pinellas Trail. It's a 47 mile long linear park which stretches from Tarpon Springs down to St. Petersburg. Parks and some of the top beaches in America are located throughout the area as well as myriad golf courses. Boating and fishing can be had in the Bay or Gulf of Mexico as well as the numerous fresh water ponds, lakes, and streams. For those who like sports, there are four professional sports teams: the Bucs, Lightning, Rays, and Storm. The Yankees call Tampa home during spring training. The Phillies and Blue Jays are in Clearwater and Dunedin as well, during spring training. In short, there is practically no limit to what a person can do in the Tampa Bay area at any time of the year.

Valrico is desirable because it is home to many "A" rated schools. Some of the communities in Valrico include Buckhorn, River Hills, Arista, Twin Lakes, Diamond Hill, Bloomingdale, Somerset, Canterbury Oaks, Abbey Grove, Mulrennan Groves, Wexford Green, Lumsden Pointe, Lumsden Trace, River Crossing Estates, Brentwood Hills, St. Cloud Landings, Eastmonte, Brandon Brook, Lakemont, Copper Ridge, Oaks at Valrico, Valrico Forest, and Southern Oaks Grove.
Lithia is also popular because it has "A" rated schools. Fishhawk Ranch and Fishhawk Trails have two "A" rated elementary schools, a middle, and a high school either in the community or nearby. Other neighborhoods in Lithia are Alafia Ridge Estates, Keysville Estates, Southwood Estates, Hinton Ranch, Candlewood Acres, Corbett Acres, Rockin T Ranch, Hood Manor Estates, Streetman Acres, Lithia Estates, Dorman Meadows, and Hammock Oak Reserve. Channing Park is to begin construction in 2008.
Riverview has newer communities, retail shops, and restaurants. Riverview communities include Panther Trace, Shadow Run, Pavilion, Lake St. Charles, Eagle Watch, Bloomingdale Ridge, Bloomingdale Hills, South Pointe, Summerfield, South Fork, Rivercrest, Riverglen, Cristina, Boyette Springs, Boyette Creek, Boyette Farms, Random Oaks, Oak Creek, Moss Landing, Moss Creek, Avelar Creek, Aberdeen Creek, Alafia Cove, Lakeside, Brussels Bay, Creek View, Symmes Grove, and Summer Springs. Two new communities, Watson Glen and The Bridges, are scheduled to be built in 2008.
